Hey guys, as we all know the rotation will hit us soon! With that in mind we started to look ahead for what decks are going to be viable, competitive when that happens.
With the massive spike in popularity of Charizard and Reshiram Tag Team GX we thought to ourselves why not try and counter the most obvious deck that will be the top pick in the future.
Boy did we strike gold. We chose metal type Pokemon, now you may ask yourselves: why the hell did you choose metal types!? They are weak to fire and they don't really do that much damage, they should be the most useless type versus any fire matchup!
Well the answer is very simple! and it's Bronzong! There is a great Bronzong card that came out in team up which has an ability that makes it completely immune to any damage done by fire Pokemon.
That would mean that any fire deck be it Blacephalon or Charizard and Reshiram Tag Team is completely useless against it. with the fire problem out of the way we can also adress other match ups like Ultra Necrozma or Pikachu and Zekrom Tag Team.
Other Pokemon decks have a lot of tools that help them tank damage in a way that other types can't. With Lucario and Melmetal GX move, metal goggles and metal core barrier you can take many hits and still keep going with no issues.
All in all it's definitely an underrated deck that has a lot of potential and with no doubt will be competitive in the upcoming meta.
